Plus, only 4 miles away is historic Newburyport with many great restaurants, shops, antiques, theater, a waterfront boardwalk, rail trails, boating, kayaking, whale watches, deep sea fishing and more.
Last but not least, Plum Island is on a major migratory path for birds and home of the Parker River Wildlife Refuge with an Audubon Society visitor center. Plum Island is known for its pristine beaches: it is 11 miles long, only 2 miles is residential with the rest of the 9 miles being wildlife refuge and beaches.
